Cancellation Policy
Please give 24-hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule your appointment. A fee of 50% of the scheduled service price will be charged for cancelling or rescheduling with less than 24-hours’ notice. If you "no-show" for your appointment, you will be charged full price for the scheduled service.
Emergency cancellations are handled on a case by case basis.
Although it is rare, if your therapist needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you will be given 24 hours’ notice whenever possible.
No Shows
A “no show” is when a client does not show up for the scheduled appointment.
Your therapist will wait 15-minutes after the start time of your scheduled appointment before considering it a "no show".
A "no-show" for your appointment will result in full payment due.
Three "no-shows" will result in no longer being accepted as a client.
Promptness
Please keep in mind that sessions begin and end at scheduled times.
Call if you know you are going to be late. Without a phone call, therapists will wait 15-minutes after the start-time of your scheduled appointment before considering it a “no show”. If you have not called to inform us that you will be late, we cannot guarantee that your therapist will be waiting for you.
If you do arrive late, the length of time for your session will be adjusted based on the time you arrived, and full payment will be due for your scheduled appointment.
Please remember that there are generally appointments booked after your session. After your treatment, it is customary to vacate the space within five or ten minutes.
Cell Phones
Please leave your cell phone in your car, or set it to the silent or vibration mode prior to your session.
Attire
We recommend that you wear loose, comfortable, casual clothing to your appointments.
Lost & Found
We are not responsible for lost, misplaced or forgotten items. If we do find an item, we will make our best effort to keep it in a safe place and let you know we have it for you to pick up at your earliest convenience.
Sickness
If you are sick, especially with a potentially contagious respiratory infection such as a cold or flu virus, please reschedule your appointment. Come back at a time when you know you are well and there is no chance for passing along illness.
Cleanliness
Please be courteous regarding hygiene and cleanliness. Please be reasonably clean prior to your appointment.
Nudity Concerns & Professional Draping for Massage
You are never required to disrobe at Healing Rituals. You may receive an incredible massage treatment while you remain fully clothed using Neuromuscular Therapy and other advanced techniques.
If you choose to disrobe for your massage session, it is never required that you are unclothed in front of anyone. You will be left alone to disrobe. Your therapist will leave the treatment area before you get undressed and before you get up from the massage table.
To ensure your privacy, and for the comfort of both you and your massage therapist, clients are professionally and appropriately draped with a sheet or towel at all times during any unclothed massage session.
Observing Our Work
We do not permit anyone to observe our massage and bodywork services. The only exception to this policy is a parent with a child under 18 years of age, or an elderly client who may need caretaker assitance.
Children
We require a parental consent form to be completed for all minors receiving massage and bodywork.
Pregnancy
In most cases pregnancy massage can be performed safely and effectively. If you have any concerns, or if you are experiencing complications with your pregnancy, please consult with your health care provider, and inform your therapist prior to your session.
Reiki is safe during pregnancy.
Medical Conditions
If you have any type of medical condition, be sure to mention it when you book your appointment, and again at your initial consultation. In some cases, your therapist may need to speak with your doctor prior to providing service for you.
For certain medical conditions, massage therapy is not advised. Please consult with your therapist prior to your appointment to determine if a physician consultation or referral form is needed.
Reiki is safe for all medical conditions.
Mental Health Conditions
If you have a history of mental illness, or are currently being treated for mental illness, please let your therapist know. Some people with certain types of mental illness, such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, or psychotic disorders, may be advised to receive massage and energetic bodywork while also under the care and supervision of a qualified mental health professional. Please consult with your therapist prior to your appointment to determine if a consultation with your mental health provider or referral form is needed.

Safety & Inappropriate Behavior
The safety and comfort of both client and therapist is extremely important in massage and bodywork.
Please be aware that either party may terminate a massage or bodywork session if uncomfortable for any reason at any time.
Please be advised of the following:
• Our services are strictly non-sexual. Inappropriate sexually-oriented verbal or non-verbal behavior will result in immediate termination of the session and full payment for the scheduled appointment will be due. You will no longer be accepted as a client. Appropriate authorities may be contacted.
• Our therapists will not provide services if you are under the influence of illicit drugs or alcohol, or if you have misused certain prescription drugs. If you should arrive to your appointment impaired, your session will be terminated and full payment for the scheduled appointment will be due. As this type of situation may vary widely, it will be handled on a case by case basis. However, it may result in no longer being accepted as a client.
• As a safety-precaution for our therapists, first-time clients will be asked to present a valid driver’s license or passport at their initial consultation.
Thank you for your cooperation.
